Caution and Pilfer

Cancer institutions throughout the world have published different warning signals that indicate the possible onset of cancer in the body. The seven warning signals of cancer have been accepted internationally. These can be remembered by the mnemonic

CAUTION:

Change in bowel or bladder habit.
A sore that does not heal.
Unusual bleeding or discharge.
Thickening or lump in the breast or elsewhere.
Indigestion or difficulty in swallowing.
Obvious change in a wart or a mole.
Nagging cough or hoarseness of voice.

Another slogan is "Lives Are Not Lost To Cancer-- They are PILFERED by the Victims Themselves"

PILFERED:

ProcrastinationI’m feeling too good and I’m too busy. I’ll get it treated when I have more time (not realizing that cancer grows geometrically).
Ignorance:There are at least six common, separate methods to treat cancer. Death and cancer are not synonymous.
LazinessWhen the doctor who discovers it says to wait and see or that there is nothing that can be done, the easy way out is to accept that statement.
FearOf the horrible treatments because you heard how someone suffered years ago to no avail. We’ve come a long way.
Expectation or desire to dieIf you do, you will.
RelianceOn a general doctor’s opinion without seeking the thoroughness, expertise and accuracy of a second opinion by a board certified oncologist, a doctor qualified to treat cancer and specializing in treating cancer.
